Repertoire

The quartet plays a mix of originals by Neil and Tom and re-workings of standards. Styles wise we like to be pretty eclectic with our choices. For sure we recognise that swing the rhythm of jazz and we love playing it but there are loads of other great grooves out there including samba, bossa, salsa and other latin styles, african grooves, rock, folk rock and the list goes on. We try to get a whole load of different grooves into the music to keep it fresh and exciting for us and the audience. We also think melody, dynamics and expression are important. . Briefly I'd like to think that what we do is play top quality grooving jazz which appeals to a wide audience. But what use are when there is music. Go on to the CD's page and hear what we can do!

Depending on the event we do alter our set to make it fit the occasion. At times we've played all standards and at times we've played all origianls. Usuaully it is a mix of both.
